Why everyone keeps coming back.

Salad and Go in Phoenix, AZ is a vibrant fast-casual restaurant that beautifully blends convenience with wholesome, flavorful cuisine. Specializing in fresh, made-to-order salads, burritos, and snacks, this location at 4716 E Ray Rd is a go-to destination for health-conscious diners who crave bold flavors without sacrificing speed or quality.

The restaurant’s standout offerings are their hearty breakfast burritos, notably the Big AZ Beef Burrito and Big AZ Chicken Burrito. The Big AZ Beef Burrito packs an impressive 47 grams of protein, featuring a delicious double portion of eggs, tender shredded beef, and triple pepper jack cheese, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla and served with housemade salsa. Its savory richness perfectly complements the fresh, vibrant aura of a quick, fulfilling breakfast. The Big AZ Chicken Burrito follows suit, offering slow-roasted pulled chicken alongside the fluffy eggs and melted triple cheese, delivering comfort with every bite during morning hours.

Aside from the burritos, the menu features scrumptious sides that delight the palate. The Quesadillas are a perfect little indulgence, with melted Oaxaca cheese folded inside a toasted tortilla, and the option to add slow-roasted pulled chicken elevates this snack to a satisfying, protein-packed treat. The Loaded Greek Hummus & Pita Chips stand out as a creamy, zesty option topped with marinated chickpeas and crumbled feta for a Greek-inspired bite that's both refreshing and nutritious.

The dining atmosphere at Salad and Go is casual and inviting, ideal for those on the move yet unwilling to compromise on taste or health. The drive-thru service is designed for efficiency without sacrificing friendliness—customers have routinely praised the quick and courteous service, likening it to popular chains known for streamlined operations. While occasional lapses in customer service have been noted, the staff often go above and beyond to make things right, an effort that loyal patrons genuinely appreciate.

Customer reviews reveal a consistent joy in both the food and the value offered. Alex Weixler captures it well, praising the combination of affordability, healthiness, and speed—making Salad and Go an unbeatable choice for busy days. Alicia Faulconer raves about the refreshing blueberry basil lemonade and the generous portions, especially enjoying the summer salad. Vegan options receive kudos too; Leah Castle mentions the Roasted Autumn Wrap as a standout, emphasizing not just the price and quality but the thoughtful inclusion of plant-based meals.

Drive-thru aficionados, like Drew Streeter, appreciate the well-planned double-lane layout and fast service, even on opening day. The freshness and flavor of the Caesar and Barbecue Ranch salads highlight the restaurant’s commitment to quality ingredients. This lively spot is much more than a quick bite—it’s a place where flavor meets nutrition with a personable touch that makes each visit memorable.

In sum, Salad and Go in Phoenix offers a culinary experience that satisfies the senses with fresh, wholesome ingredients, bold flavors, and an atmosphere that moves as fast as you do. Whether grabbing a protein-packed burrito to start your day or indulging in a vibrant salad for lunch, this local gem ensures you never have to sacrifice taste or health on the go.

Love the new summer salad. Always a good price for the size. The ingredients could be spread out a bit more when it's a wrap. Service is usually good when at the window, but on occasion I get someone that clearly lacks customer service. The blueberry basil lemonade is the bomb.

Edit: I went back today (3 days later) and the girl serving the drive thru apologized and said they take allergies very seriously. She turned a bad experience into a good one, and explained that they were likely unable to answer when I called. I would still love to hear from corporate, but I have changed the 1/5 star review because of this wonderful employee you had their today. I ordered 2 Caesar salads with buffalo chicken and 2 frozen strawberry lemonades. I instead got 2 buffalo salads with blue cheese. The best part was noticing after having an allergic reaction to the banana peppers. I have gotten the wrong order SO many times here, but usually it's just regular chicken instead of buffalo. I tried to call but there was no way to get an actual person on the phone. One urgent care visit and $21 worth of unedible lunch later, not a happy client.

Finally, an Ahwatukee location. So excited I went on the first day. The drive through is comparable to Chick-fil-A. It is well planned with two lanes. They were fast and efficient, especially for the first day! We got the Cesar and the Barbecue Ranch salads. The prices are great. The salads fresh and delicious. This location should do well. Their breakfast burritos and drinks are stellar too.

Love that they finally have an Ahwatukee location. The lines moved quickly, and the salad and burritos were delicious. Will definitely be coming back frequently. *Need to open the walk-up window soon tho, because I came up on a bike.

2/12/25 UPDATE - Chicken is back normal! Huge fan of their salads! Salads are well worth the price. Frozen Strawberry Lemonade is also great and not overly sweet. Great treat! However, there recently was a change to their chicken recipe and it’s NOT it. Not a fan. New chicken looks raw, no seasoning or grill marks. Very bland.
